STITCHIN' GIRLS SIT & SEW - FREE!
This is a new social group for Appliquers (any style/any method) every 2nd Monday of each month, starting January 2012. Come visit and sew from
10am - 1pm or thereabouts. This is not a class and is free of charge. You have to already know how to perform your chosen style
(i.e. any method) of applique to attend this group. A great follow up group for those who have just learnt the Best Press method in our monthly Applique Workshops.

This class will help you learn to load quilts, adjust tension, understand threads, needles, using pantographs, and more.
This is the introductory class to longarm quilting on the Tin Lizzie Longarm System.

BINDING, MITERED CORNERS & MORE $25
A 2 1/2 hour class that teaches you to cut, prepare and attach binding to your quilts. Mitered corners (= Y-seams)
are taught plus other tips on how to make sure your quilt top ends up flat and square.
Bring small quilt sandwiches and left over fabric to practice on and use as a sample for future reference*

CANDY QUILT $40 + pattern

Easy, exciting and very forgiving; no matching of seams! Two patterns to choose from,
"Candy is Dandy" with 8 1/2" blocks (like sample) and "Candy Queen" with
13 12/" blocks for a larger quilt. Ask for a color chart if you want
yours to look similar to the sample in the photo.
No two quilts will ever look exactly the same with this method.

BATIKS IN MOTION $50

No pattern required but a set of acrylic templates ($25) is recommended.
Curved piecing is easy! You cut the pieces, then flip flop and puzzle them until you have as many hearts, petals, circles etc. as you like.
Because the curves go in all directions and there is no matching of seams to worry about, the assembly of the quilt is very easy and forgiving.
This is a 6 hour class, so bring lunch!

A simple but stunning quilt made from 2 1/2" strips; one jelly roll (40 strips) or cut your own.
Sample hasKaffe Fassett/Phillip Jacobs fabrics, but it will
look great in other fabrics. A great quilt if you have recently learned
to rotary cut and sew 1/4" seams or as a quick project for the experienced.
QE has a limited number of 2 1/2" Kaffe Fassett Classics strip packs especially for students of this class, so hurry in!

BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING - $25
Learn to use your domestice home sewing machine to do machine quilting on your quilt tops.
Learn how to prepare your quilt top and backing for quilting. You'll need a walking foot (even feed) and
free motion foot for your machine. We will use those in the class.
Hands on class which will prepare you for Sylvi's Dancing Threads Class! Don't be afraid! You CAN do it!
