Notes from Pam
Hi All! Lots to share with you today...I hope all of the Jo Ladies got my messages this past Saturday. I called everyone to let you know that Jo's new shirtings...Sunday Best...had finally arrived. They are all new designs and they are some of her best ever. We've cut fat quarters and the yardage is on the floor. You are going to love these! Don't forget that our next meeting is on May 26th at 1PM...after I get back from Kansas City Quilt Market.
For the Mystery Quilters...I may not be able to send the Step 5 cutting instructions but this one time. I'll be gone next week so Sylvi will be your "Fearless Leader" when you meet on the 19th. The cutting instructions for Step 5 are:
Light fabric -- Fabric #1
Cut two strips 2" wide. Subcut into thirty 2" squares Medium Light fabric -- Fabric #2
Cut three strips 3 1/2" wide
Medium Dark fabric -- Fabric #3
Cut two strips 3 1/2" wide. Subcut into twenty 3 1/2" squares Dark fabric -- Fabric #4
Cut six strips 6 1/2" wide
I'll have examples for Sylvi to show you...we are almost finished. I can't wait to pick our next project while I'm at Market.
This coming Saturday, we are having a Demo Day at the shop in the afternoon. I'll be showing some new sewing machine models and don't forget we have Mother's Day Sale prices on them. And I have a new attachment to show you...for the low shank machines which is just about all of them without the Accufeed walking foot. It allows you to have a ditch quilting guide on your walking foot and it works really well. It is packaged as a separate piece if you already have a walking foot or as a set if you don't have a walking foot yet. Janome has outdone themselves this time! Come try it out!
I just booked a flight to Washington to go see my mother in June...boy have air fares gone UP!
See Ya'll Soon,
Pam
