I wish you could see my back yard--It's gorgeous! Last year's drought did a real "number" on our grass and flower beds. While Pat was out of town this week, I hired our landscapers to totally redo our lawn and flower beds. It's just beautiful! I know I'm really going to enjoy it now!

Pam, Carol and I leave on Tuesday for Kansas City! We are really looking forward to seeing what is new and fresh to bring back for you! Please plan on coming to the Market Showcase on the last Saturday of May at 10am. We will bring back tons of photos and as much product as we can! You never know what goodies we will find! Maybe a great door prize or two!

I love the new Koala Cabinet Section. Remember, we do sell floor models - and Mother's Day is this Sunday!..wink..wink! We will pay for the White Glove Shipping when you buy a new Koala Cabinet from us until Mother's Day! Big savings!

Our Spring Demo Day is scheduled for this Saturday, May 12 at 1pm. That's the day before Mother's Day! We will have the new Janome 12000 embroidery machine, and lots of demos on products in the store. Should be a lot of fun and we will have door prizes too!

Speaking of Mother's Day, if you don't know what you want, just tell the kids that you want a gift certificate from Quilter's Emporium, then you can buy what you want! We'll have products that you might not have seen or tried that you will want to check out! It should be a lot of fun!

UFO PAJAMA PARTY ANNOUCEMENT !!!! - The NEXT PJ Party is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, from 6pm - midnight! TIckets are $5 each and be sure to wear your pjs and bring your UFOs! Pam and Sylvi will be your hosts that evening so it's sure to be a summer hit! CALL the shop ASAP to make your reservation! You may sign up yourself and one other person only! Notes from Pam

Hi All! Lots to share with you today...I hope all of the Jo Ladies got my messages this past Saturday. I called everyone to let you know that Jo's new shirtings...Sunday Best...had finally arrived. They are all new designs and they are some of her best ever. We've cut fat quarters and the yardage is on the floor. You are going to love these! Don't forget that our next meeting is on May 26th at 1PM...after I get back from Kansas City Quilt Market.

For the Mystery Quilters...I may not be able to send the Step 5 cutting instructions but this one time. I'll be gone next week so Sylvi will be your "Fearless Leader" when you meet on the 19th. The cutting instructions for Step 5 are:

    Light fabric -- Fabric #1

Cut two strips 2" wide. Subcut into thirty 2" squares Medium Light fabric -- Fabric #2

Cut three strips 3 1/2" wide

Medium Dark fabric -- Fabric #3

Cut two strips 3 1/2" wide. Subcut into twenty 3 1/2" squares Dark fabric -- Fabric #4

Cut six strips 6 1/2" wide

I'll have examples for Sylvi to show you...we are almost finished. I can't wait to pick our next project while I'm at Market.

This coming Saturday, we are having a Demo Day at the shop in the afternoon. I'll be showing some new sewing machine models and don't forget we have Mother's Day Sale prices on them. And I have a new attachment to show you...for the low shank machines which is just about all of them without the Accufeed walking foot. It allows you to have a ditch quilting guide on your walking foot and it works really well. It is packaged as a separate piece if you already have a walking foot or as a set if you don't have a walking foot yet. Janome has outdone themselves this time! Come try it out!

I just booked a flight to Washington to go see my mother in June...boy have air fares gone UP!

    See Ya'll Soon,

    Pam
