MACHINE EMBROIDERY CLUB


Be sure to join us on the second Saturday afternoon of each month or the Machine Embroidery Club.  Leader Linda Chancellor has great ideas for the coming year!  Sign up early so that they know to expect you.  Prices vary depending on the project that month.  To join, please contact Linda via email at linda.chancellor@gmail.com.  Bring your embroidery machines each month please. 


CROSS MY HEART- $42 (formerly called Twisted Star)
Join Auian Ward as she shares with you the ins and outs of paper piecing.  This is a great project for the beginner but is challenging enough for an intermediate level piecer.  This is a Tablerunner/banner project.

BEGINNING QUILT MAKING - $60
Offered on Sunday afternoons, this is a fun class and you really learn a lot!  You will walk away from that class knowing how to select fabric, fabric preparation, safe rotary cutting, speed piecing, quilt top assembly and more.

BEGINNING MACHINE QUILTING - $25
Learn to use your home sewing machine to take those quilt tops and turn them into lovely quilts.  You must have a free motion foot (darning foot) and an even feed foot (walking foot) for your machine.  We will provide you with the fabric and batting to use in class.  This is a fun learning process and you will learn a lot!

BACKBASTING APPLIQUE - $25
Well this is what I call "Kamakazi' Applique" because it is lightning fast and gives fabulous results!  Tammy McCorkle of the Sugar Land Applique Society is eager to share this technique with you!  No templates and it's easy!

DAY AND NIGHT - $40 (PLUS BOOK)
Rose Ann took this class at Market and loved the technique!  When you finish this class, you should have a great start to the quilt top and the leftover scraps are easily sewn together for a table runner!  Two tops for the price of one!  A great technique from Eleanor Burns and a fun class to take. BOOK REQUIRED.  Sample block shown below. - It's easy!

MACHINE EMBELLISH!  - $65 (includes batik fabric kit)
Do you own a Janome 6500, 6600, Janome 11000 SE or now the Janome Horizon?  If you do, then you have lots of features that you might not know how to use.  Cording, Bobbin work, twin-needle, and more are taught in this project.   A fabric kit is included.  Bring your machine and all of the feet that came with it.  This is a fun class!
