WE ARE BRINGING BACK THE STRIP CLUB!
You may have noticed some of our staff going a bit crazy with boas, tiaras, and the Charleston. In years past, we have done monthly gatherings of Strip Club (using 2 ½” strips) and PB&J (using pre-cuts, bundles, and jelly rolls). We missed this! So we brought it back, but only quarterly because we are all so busy that we can’t get a new quilt made every single month.
Our first quilt is based on 2 ½” strips, is easy to make, and beautiful to look at, with all these bright colors. You have the choice of bright cotton prints (left) or batiks (below). (In future months, we will offer neutral choices!) Order your jelly roll now (by February 29, mystery day) and receive a 10% discount off the prices of $42 (brights) and $46 (batiks).
There are 46 strips in each roll, enough to make a large throw, with the addition of background and borders. Stop by the shop and see our selections yourself. There’s info on the additional fabric needed for background, sashing, borders for several different sized quilts.
You can order your fabric until the week before our big reveal, which will be April 11. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for our inaugural Strip Club 2020 celebration! Saturday, April 11 at 9:30am. We will have a quilt to show you, instructions on how to make it quickly and efficiently, and some fun and entertainment besides.
BAILEY, THE TOP DOG
Hey y'all! Bailey and Eddie here today to talk with you about all the things at Quilter's Emporium. I'm gonna let Eddie talk first....
Eddie: Well, hey folks! I'm really glad that I am here and that I was trapped by this lady hooman. She sure was persistent and I really made her work to catch me! You see, I'm a street dog. I'm tough as nails. I'm a tough empty shell of a canine...wait a minute...what are you doing hooman? Why are you rubbing behind my ears? GRRR....Stop it...stop it.....ooohh ...that feels nice. mmmm....hey, don't stop!!! (I'm gonna like this place)
Bailey: He will get used to the good life, don't you think? He is getting used to hugs and cuddles and is loving a full belly on a regular basis! He does growl at us from time to time. We think it was his only defense mechanism and I remember I used to do that too, when I was a street dog. I learned that I am a lover, not a fighter. I think it will take Eddie just a little bit longer to realize that he is a lover too...cause we do love him! It took Eddie 2 seconds to love wearing a collar and a tshirt!
Are you coming to this Saturday's UFO day? It only costs $10 and Mama is making lunch for everyone! We'd love to see you there! You bring your machine and a project of your choice to work on. It's just a fun day to help you get your UFOs finished with some friends! I'll be there too! I hope you come!
Snuggles, cuddles and a tail wag to you! Bailey and Katey and Emma and Eddie
