Garden of Dreams 2 Kaleidoscope Quilt

Do you like to make big blocks? What about a 16 inch kaleidoscope block? The way this kaleidoscope quilt is
constructed uses the strength of the crosswise grain to make the blocks. It will go together beautifully. The quilt is made from strips that run along the length of the fabric. Pin eight strips together and cut using a specialty ruler. After having make two of these quilts, I have discovered some tips for ensuring accurate cutting and sewing. The first class will be a demonstration class. You will learn how to cut the fabric into strips and I will demonstrate how to pin the strips together.  Then you will learn how to recognize the blocks in the quilt and we will learn how to cut them from the strips. There are some tips I learned about where to cut. Then we will have two sewing sessions in which you make your blocks and setting triangles and put them together. The finished project will be well worth your time.  

There will be an additional class for sewing, after you have had a chance to complete the cutting process.  Those dates are not set yet, but will be a choice of a weekday or a Saturday in July.
